The Picky Eater
The whole family love to eat out and the husband and wife enjoy the rare and quiet meals they call date nights. Food consumed outside the home may or may not be organic or GMO-free, but inside the home, 99.99% of the raw food and ingredients are certified organic, certified non-GMO, and from local farmers that swear to adhere to clean and organic practices.
She would love to tell you she happily cooks everything in her own kitchen and all from scratch, but it isn’t so. She would love to show you pictures of her homestead or garden that she toils, but one does not exist.
Yes, she is an advocate for real food and clean eating but do not freak if you catch her taking a swig of Coca-Cola made in Mexico (it’s made with real sugar and not HFCS), packaged food, and a few Trader Joe’s items.
She enjoys her milk whole and fatty from Strauss Creamery and her recipes posted here are short, easy, and tasty.
This modern day homeschooler is on a mission to educate herself and her family. Now in year 4, she’s getting the hang of it and enjoy helping others see how they too CAN homeschool, with today’s resources and technology.
Who, what, when, where, why and how does she homeschool? Stick around and you will catch glimpses of that, here on the blog.
If you are looking for homeschooling worksheets or printables, you will not find originals here. Worksheets and paper may be a part of the learning process but that is not the focus or expertise in this home. This mother of a 5 year old and an 8 year old learn daily through trips and experiences. You may catch them almost daily via YouTube at http://youtube.com/jennylouraya.
Blog + Disclosures
This blog is to share the journey as a mother, homeschooler, wife, and as a woman with many interests. Things enjoyed and occasional opinions will be featured here. Posts are all her own with the occasional sponsored promotion of food, events, and reviews of services that may be of interest to readers. In sponsored posts, disclosures will always be provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255: “Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.”
She has never been paid straight up cash money for blogging and have been blogging casually since 2005. It was not until 2015 that free food and free entry to events came in exchange for social media coverage. Don’t worry, she won’t sell her soul just for anything. She is particular with brands and campaigns she mentions here. Speaking of brands, are you an eco/green, organic, and non-GMO brand or company that would like to be featured here? Is there something that would be amazing to fellow eco-moms and homeschoolers? Do email me at [email protected]
Anything else you want to know, email me or read the blog.
